A rare ad on Mack Twain. This was when Mack was older.
This was an ad on Mack Twain when he was younger and owned by J. H. Flessner. Dick Hershberger used Mack when Flessner owned him. Mr. Hershberger thought Mack Twain was a real coonhound. This is one of Mack Twain's most famous sons. John Cason wasn't afraid to put him up against any hound. In this time people traveled a long ways sometimes to take part in some of these big hunts. They were a happening.
John Cason was killed in a car accident as he was moving to Oklahoma. If he hadn't been killed the name California Mack would have become a better known name.
